Electropantograph

This is a pantograph:

This is the Wiki-nition of a pantograph:

“A pantograph (from Greek roots παντ- ‘all, every’ and γραφ- ‘to write’, from their original use for copying writing) is a mechanical linkage connected in a special manner based on parallelograms so that they move in a fixed relationship to each other.”

This is a diagram showing a very basic way of constructing a pantograph at the leisure and comfort of your own home!:

An Electropantograph is a pantograph with an electric drawing machine substituting the “pencil” as shown in the diagram.
The device I will be using looks like this:

Well, thats how it started looking. First I took a simple motor I got from a toy donated to me by the Jackie Sulley Fundation for the Fine Arts and other pieces from broken toys. The clip is a standard Pearl binder clip and the metal parts come from a Met-struct Kit made by the RadioShack Corporation.

(I am developing a weird fetish for my camera’s Macro setting, it makes everything look so sharp and lusciously detailed!)

This is it so far, I have to construct the rest of the Electropantograph and then figure out the reasons why I decided to make one.
